As you probably know from a previous post, I was lucky enough to go to the press launch of An American in Paris. This was the first event I had been to as part of #LDNTheatreBloggers and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had.
Firstly, Sammi and the other lovely bloggers there with me were absolutely lovely. They were so warm and friendly as well as easy to chat to. I could have stayed all day talking to them, they are such fabulous people. So, shout out to:

Go check out their Twitters and their blogs, they all write so well (and go to even more shows than I do!)

I’ve been to a few press nights before, but never a press launch, so I wasn’t quite sure what would be in store. I was impressed with the free champagne given to us in the Members Bar at Picturehouse Central, and the area itself was gorgeous. The view overlooked bustling Picadilly in the sunshine, and I felt like a very posh Londoner indeed!
The aesthetics of the launch itself were great, as not only were there the usual branded posters but in the bar were some gorgeous drawings of scenes from the show/film. Coupled with clips being played from the Broadway production and the music playing in the background, I was instantly drawn in to the show.
The Bar where we had the launch was decorated to suit the show. Along with the branded posters and billboards were gorgeous drawings on easels of scenes from the show – I really wanted to take one home with me! Coupled with clips from the Broadway production playing on screens and the soundtrack playing in the background, I was instantly drawn in to the show – I felt very Parisian chic just standing there.
We were also very lucky to be given goody bags with an array of lovely An American in Paris merchandise, consisting of a notebook, pen, tote bag, and chocolate. I had been needing a new notebook so this came at the most perfect time, so thank you!
I know this is a short post but I just wanted to say what an incredible time I had and how lovely it was to meet fellow bloggers. I hope to see you all soon and to continue going to such fun events with you!
